Tech Week – recognising our Animal Facility staff

This week at Centenary, we are are celebrating Tech Week – an annual occasion which recognises animal technicians for their essential contribution to research in providing compassionate attention to the animals in their care.
“First and foremost, we are animal lovers. Our animal care staff bridge the gap between science and welfare – without their dedication to welfare, we wouldn’t have quality research outcomes,” says Centenary’s Animal Facility Officer, Natalie Littlejohn.
“Animal Facility staff provide huge contributions to medical science, but as they are “behind the scenes” their work often goes unrecognised. Tech Week is about giving the staff the appreciation they deserve and raising awareness of their hard work.”
The Centenary Institute would like to thank our wonderful Animal Facility staff for their dedication to caring for our animals, and ensuring our medical research is conducted with the highest of ethical standards.
Our Animal Facility is hosting the Tech Week Lunchtime Seminar this Friday 16th November from 12-3pm, with innovative and exciting talks from a variety of different people in the industry.
If you would like to show your support for our Animal Facility staff and learn more about what they do, please RSVP here.
