The inaugural Trent Naughton Memorial Team Penning event was held in honour of Trent, a much loved young man who was sadly taken from his family and friends as a result of a sudden cardiac death.
An equestrian sport that dates back to 1942, Team penning has evolved from the everyday work of separating cattle into pens on cattle farms. Today, it is a fast-paced event that brings communities like Lake Cargelligo in western NSW together.
Our sincerest thanks to the Naughton family and the Lake Cargelligo community for their incredible support which raised over $41,000 for Centenary’s Agnes Ginges Centre for Molecular Cardiology.
The funds raised will help accelerate Centenary’s cutting-edge research into genetic heart disease with the ultimate goal of preventing sudden cardiac death in our community.
