Centenary science images shine at Government House
The Centenary Institute recently brought its striking ‘When Art Meets Science’ exhibition to Government House, where hundreds of visitors were able to witness a remarkable fusion between art and life-saving medical research.
Stunning images captured by Centenary Institute researchers during their pioneering work, were displayed as part of the Government House Jazz@theHouse event, an afternoon of music and culture open to the public.
The exhibition highlighted a diverse array of science images from Centenary’s ongoing research efforts. Among the featured visuals were pancreatic cancer cells being attacked by modified immune cells, muscle fibres linked to healthy ageing, stem cells explored for regenerative medicine and heart muscle cells grown from patient samples.
Professor Marc Pellegrini, Centenary Institute Executive Director, said the Institute is dedicated to increasing awareness about the outcomes and benefits of medical research with the broader community.
“Showcasing these stunning images not only reveals the inherent beauty in our researchers’ work but also highlights the profound contributions Centenary’s brightest minds are making to medical science,” said Professor Pellegrini.
“We are committed to raising awareness about these critical advancements and their potential to improve lives.”
