Centenary scientist recognised for research presentation
Congratulations to the Centenary Institute’s Dr Hui Emma Zhang who has been recognised for her outstanding research and presentation skills at the Sydney Cancer Conference, held at the International Convention Centre on 11th and 12th October.
Dr Zhang has been awarded the Hunter Cancer Research Alliance Mini-oral Presentation prize.
The focus of her presentation was on the discovery of new likely targets for FAP (Fibroblast Activation Protein) that is within most tumours. FAP is fundamental to the future development of effective cancer therapies by targeting the protease activity of this protein.
Dr Zhang is the co-lead author of a study on this subject which was recently published in the highly-regarded scientific journal Molecular and Cellular Proteomics.
