Tuberculosis – a staggering burden on global health

Despite considerable research efforts, tuberculosis (TB) remains a staggering burden on global health with 10.4 million new cases and 1.7 million deaths in 2016.
It is estimated that 2 billion individuals are infected with tuberculosis.
Centenary’s Tuberculosis Research Program in collaboration with the University of Sydney has recently been published in Plos One journal for their ongoing research into tuberculosis vaccine development and delivery. See the paper here
